About Erynn Kay, MMS, PA-C, NTC

“After working with patients of all ages with various types of illness for almost six years, I have seen firsthand the benefits of a low-carbohydrate, unprocessed, whole foods diet on every aspect of health. It’s remarkable that such a simple tool, something we all use every day can not only prevent, but reverse, so many of the diseases that plague us. That tool is food.”

Erynn Kay, PA-C is a board certified, licensed Physician Assistant who joined South Suburban Family Medicine in 2013.

Erynn graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. She then went on to earn a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2009. Erynn spent her first four years following graduation practicing adult and pediatric medicine in Goodyear, AZ, and has been working with Dr. Jeffry Gerber since May of 2013, happily seeing patients in a blended functional and conventional family practice.

Erynn’s true passion is healing disease primarily through nutrition. After searching for several years for answers to her own health challenges, she stumbled upon the Paleo diet and has never looked back! For the past eleven years, she has followed a Paleo lifestyle and spends time regularly reading and researching the newest literature in functional medicine to best assist her patients, as well as getting involved in the Paleo community of Denver.  In 2018, Erynn became certified as a Nutritional Therapy Consultant (NTC) through the Nutritional Therapy Association and became certified as Level 1 and 2 Restorative Wellness Practitioner, to further her education on nutrition and functional medicine for the benefit of her patients.

Her specialties include general primary care, treatment of metabolic disease, gastrointestinal issues, autoimmune disease, and pediatrics.

Erynn is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Her hobbies include reading, yoga, traveling as much as possible, walking her dogs Linus and Livi, and acting as organizer of her Paleo Meetup group in Denver, CO.
