We have been doing select patient testing in our office with both devices.

We have been getting the E-3 error (used strip) message often on the blue NovaMax Plus unit requiring re-testing!! Jimmy notes and we agree that the test strips are flimsy and it is hard to seat in the unit. The benefit is the small blood sample required.

The Precision Gray Xtra is sturdy, but the test strips are way too expensive and requires lots of blood. Abbott spent more on R&D to develop a more superior Precision Xtra devise, but you have to pay more to use it!
