The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension along with the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center are pleased to host Mr. Gary Taubes on Thursday, May 9th from 9:00am to 10:30am for his lecture entitled Why We Get Fat: Adiposity 101 and the Alternative Hypothosis of Obesity. Gary Taubes is an award-winning science/health journalist, co-founder of the Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI.org), a recipient of a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Investigator Award in Health Policy Research and the author of Why We Get Fat and Good Calories, Bad Calories
